Following the annual tradition at Odsal Ling, in October we will be holding the Red Tara Drubchöd with an offering of 100,000 Tsoks.

The retreat will begin with Red Tara empowerment on the October 11 at 8 pm. Tara empowerment is a prerequisite for participating in the weekend ceremony.

Drubchöd has offerings that are as elaborate as those of a Drubchen, but in a shorter period of time. Lama Tsering will be the vajra master and will be accompanied by other lamas of Chagdud Gonpa Brazil.

Tsok means "gathering" - of both practitioners and substances. It is one of the many excellent methods on the path of Vajrayana Buddhism for making offerings, accumulating merit and wisdom, and purifying karma. The substances in the tsok form a great banquet, with the various delicacies of all flavors, and have the power of liberation by taste.

In spite of being a very high practice, it can also be performed by beginning students. However, no teachings will be given during the event, so it is recommended for the student to have prior knowledge of the practices of Vajrayana Buddhism.
