On February 5, we will be celebrating the Tibetan New Year, or Losar. This year will be 2146, the year of the Earth Boar.

According to Buddhist tradition, the days before and after Losar are very important.

In the preceding period, we will practice in order to purify flaws and remove obstacles and negativity from the past year through Vajrakilaya practice. Empowerment is required, but those who have not received it may participate in the practice sessions and carry out their personal meditation.

As usual, the day before Losar (Monday, February 4), we will clean several areas of the Gompa. Everyone is invited to take part. Just email [email protected].

On the morning of Losar (Tuesday, February 5) khatags will be offered at the Stupa, followed by Red Tara Tsok. In the evening there will be a teaching with Lama Tsering in São Paulo.

During the fifteen days following Losar, we will pay special attention to our personal meditation practice, making aspirations for it to mature and bring more and more benefits to all beings.
