This weekend, February 8 and 9, Chagdud Gonpa practitioners will hold simultaneous longevity ceremonies in North America, South America, Switzerland and Nepal for the longevity of Tromge Jigme Rinpoche, our teacher and the son of H.E. Chagdud Tulku Rinpoche.

At Odsal Ling, Saturday and Sunday activities will begin at 8am with puja, and from 10am onwards we will practice "The Essence of Siddhi" with an emphasis on longevity accumulation, followed by a tsok offering. We encourage those unable to attend to make online tsok offerings and also to carry out the longevity practice of Amitayus at home.

The practice of Amitayus is contained in the sadhana "Lamps of Clarity" and can be practiced with self-visualization by those who have received the Amitaba, Chenrezig or Guru Rinpoche empowerments.

We will soon release more information about practice schedules.

The practice of Amitayus is very concise but extremely powerful, we are able to balance the internal elements of our mind and body, and alleviate the suffering arising from external imbalances of the elements, such as climate change and natural disasters. We all desire well-being, health, and longevity for our spiritual teachers, our families and friends, and to all beings in all realms. However, sometimes the vast scale of imbalances and the prevalence of disease leave us depressed and helpless, paralyzed. The practice of Amitayus dispels such obscurations and enables us to manifest benefit in countless ways in various circumstances.
