Workshop - How to make an altar and sequence of daily practice


Do you want to learn or have questions about how to set up your altar at home? At this meeting, instructor Priscila, tchöpon Isabel and umze Thiago will answer questions and give instructions on choosing the place to set up your altar, how to arrange the offerings, the substances used, among other information. Take part and put this practice of generosity into action.

At this meeting, they will also explain the sequence of the daily Red Tara practice.

A Red Tara emporwerment is a prerequisite for taking part.

The offering for this event is spontaneous, you decide and enter the amount when you register.

As the event only takes place in the morning, it is not possible to book food at the Odsal Ling Temple.

It is possible, however, to go to Maha Pizza from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., when it is open on weekends.

Maha Pizza (food truck):

Our food truck serves slices of pizza, quiche, cheese bread, salad, cold and hot drinks, açaí, sweets and popsicles. There are vegan, gluten-free, lactose-free and zero sugar options.

There is no registration fee with accommodation for this event.

This is a in-person event only, there will be no broadcast.

The workshop will be offered in Portuguese, without translation.

You must reserve a parking space when you register and wait for confirmation by email from the events area.

As our parking is limited, we strongly suggest that participants share rides.

The Mandala Shop will be open from 10 a.m. to 3.30 p.m.

Remove your shoes and hat before entering.

It is not permitted to photograph, record or film the inside of the meditation room or the teachings.

Do not touch the practitioners' objects or musical instruments.

Do not lie down in the practice and teaching room.

It is traditional, in the presence of Rinpoches and Lamas, to wait standing until they sit down. Then three prostrations are made as a sign of respect.

Do not point your feet at statues, lamas or sacred objects.

Do not walk over sacred texts, practice objects or benches.

Do not place texts directly on the floor.

Sacred texts are only loaned for use during meditation practices and should not be taken home or copied without the Temple's permission.

If you find an object that doesn't belong to you, please hand it in to one of our volunteers on site.
