At the end of the Bodhisattva Action retreat, Lama Tsering will bestow the Red Tara empowerment to all those who wish to delve into the Buddhist path. Those who did not participate in the Bodhisattva Action retreat can also receive the empowerment.
Empowerment is a ceremony in which the master authorizes the student to engage in Vajrayana meditation, conveying the blessings of the lineage of a given practice.
It is said that receiving empowerment from an accomplished lama - and renewing that commitment by receiving the empowerment many times - plants the seeds for enlightenment in our minds, creating the causes for revealing our true nature.
