Dream Yoga retreat

Shakiamuni Buddha said that life is a dream, and compared the manifestation of phenomena to the reflection of the moon in a lake and a rainbow in the sky: nothing exists in fact as our common perception would have us believe.

The Dream Yoga is a method that helps us investigate these profound teachings and experience them in our own lives.

This year-end, Lama Tsering will offer a Dream Yoga retreat (December 26 to January 1). This practice is part of the cycle of "Red Tara - The Essence That Fulfills All Wishes," revealed by Apong Terton.

"May I recognize all experiences as being as insubstantial as the fabric of the dream during the night, and immediately awaken to perceive the manifestation of pure wisdom in the arising of every phenomenon." (Sadhana of Red Tara)

Personal practice pre-retreat

Between 23 and 25 December, practitioners who feel inspired can take part in a djetsun accumulation retreat in preparation for the Yoga of Dreams retreat, open to beginners and advanced practitioners.

It is possible to take part in one or more days of the pre-retreat.

There is an extra cost for any meals or accommodation.

If you are interested, please tick the days you wish to attend on the enrolment form.

Please note: pre-registration is now open.
After filling in the form, the events department will contact you by email to confirm your registration.

Red Tara empowerment - 26 December, 9.30am

The empowerment is a prerequisite for participation and will be granted to all, registered or not for the retreat

There are three types of retreat. All of them require full participation.

I'm taking part for the first time: this option is face-to-face only, with accommodation in the Temple.

I'm taking part for the second time: this can be done online or in person, with accommodation.

I have participated two or more times (in person): in this modality, participation is only in person, with or without accommodation, and you must meet one of these prerequisites:

- have participated in at least two Dream Yoga retreats and have received teachings from Dzogchen

- have participated in at least two Dream Yoga retreats and are accumulating Ngondro. In these circumstances, Lama Tsering will assess the possibility of participation on a case-by-case basis.

The retreat has two categories:

Beginners: those who are attending the retreat for the first or second time. This categority is in person only, with accommodation in the Temple and full participation.

Advanced: those who have already completed the retreat in person, having stayed at the Temple at least twice. In this category, participation is full, with or without accommodation. There is an online option, which must also be full.

To participate in person, you must choose this option when registering.

It is not possible to take part in part of this retreat, even for those who have done so before. Therefore, full participation, from December 26 to January 1, is required.

Anyone who has not yet received the Red Tara empowerment must receive it in person on December 26 at 9:30 a.m. in order to take part in the retreat.

Odsal Ling will provide accommodation and meals for those attending the in-person retreat. However, priority for accommodation will be given to those who are attending the retreat for the first time.

To take part online, you must have previously completed the Dream Yoga retreat in full and in person at least twice, and choose this option when registering.

It is not possible to take part in part of this retreat, even for those who have done it before. Therefore, full participation, from December 26 to January 1, is required.

The teachings will not be recorded, only broadcast live. Therefore, it will not be possible to watch the teachings afterwards. Please do not insist.
