The Rigdzin Düpa sadhana belongs to the Longchen Nyingtik, a cycle bestowed upon Jigme Lingpa (1729–1798) through a series of three visions he had of the great master Longchen Rabjampa (1308–1363). This cycle soon spread throughout Tibet, becoming one of the most influential lineages of the Nyingma tradition, which continues to this day.
Chagdud Tulku Rinpoche received this transmission of the Longchen Nyingthig from both Khenpo Dorje and Tromge Tulku Arik, and practiced it extensively during the years he lived and traveled throughout Asia. Tromge Jigme Rinpoche, on the other hand, received it from his father, Chagdud Rinpoche, and from Khenpo Ngagchung.
This ceremony is part of the Rigdzin Düpa retreat, but you may participate in the empowerment only.
