Ngöndro Practice Retreats

Ngöndro practitioners will have the opportunity to do their accumulations at the Temple one weekend per month, in three daily practice sessions.

As a way to strengthen their personal practice, Ngöndro practitioners are invited to come and do their accumulations at the Temple, together with other practitioners.

Practice sessions: (UTC-3)
Session 1: 9 am to 12 pm (Saturday) / 9.30 pm to 12 pm (Sunday)
Session 2: 2 pm to 4:30 pm
Session 3: 7 pm to 9 pm

Each person will do their own accumulation, but the idea of group practice is to give and receive support from the sangha. The presence of the sangha, committed to the same path, helps to inspire us and remind us of the precious teachings of Ngondro received from Lama Tsering and other masters.

It is not necessary to participate in both days or all sessions. You can choose which day and which session you want to participate in.

Please note: this is a practice retreat. There will be no teachings.

In-person only.

Prerequisites

One must have previously received teachings on Ngondro.

Nearby restaurants

There are a few restaurants near the Temple that serve meals. We suggest checking the location and hours of operation of these establishments in advance.

You must reserve a parking space when you register and wait for confirmation by email from the events area.

As our parking is limited, we strongly suggest that participants share rides.

Remove your shoes and hat before entering the meditation hal.

Photography, recording, or filming inside the meditation hall or during teachings is not allowed.

Do not touch other practitioners' objects and musical instruments.

Do not lie down in the practice and teaching area.

In the presence of Rinpoches and Lamas, it is traditional to remain standing until they sit down. We then do three prostrations as a sign of respect.

Do not point your feet at statues, lamas, and sacred objects.

Do not step over sacred texts, practice objects, or benches.

Do not place texts directly on the floor.

Sacred texts are loaned for use during meditation practices only and should not be taken home or copied without the Temple's authorization.

If you find an object that does not belong to you, please hand it to one of our volunteers present at the site.
