The Rigdzin D\u00fcpa sadhana belongs to the Longchen Nyingtik, a cycle granted to Jigme Lingpa (1729-1798) through a series of three visions he had of the great master Longchen Rabjampa (1308-1363). This cycle soon spread throughout Tibet, becoming one of the most influential lineages of the Nyingma tradition, which continues to this day.<\/p>\n

Chagdud Tulku Rinpoche received this transmission of the Longchen Nyingthig from both Khenpo Dorje and Tromge Tulku Arik, and practiced it extensively during the years he lived and traveled throughout Asia. Tromge Jigme Rinpoche received it from his father, Chagdud Rinpoche, and from Khenpo Ngagchung.<\/p>\n

Prerequisite: You must have received the Rigdzin D\u00fcpa empowerment. The empowerment will be granted on the 9th.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The empowerment is part of the retreat, but you may attend the empowerment only.<\/p>\n

Photography, recording, or filming inside the meditation room or during teachings is not permitted.<\/p>\n

Do not touch practitioners' objects or musical instruments.<\/p>\n

Do not lie down in the practice and teaching environment.<\/p>\n

It is traditional, in the presence of Rinpoches and Lamas, to wait standing until they sit down. Then, three prostrations are made as a sign of respect.<\/p>\n

Do not point your feet at statues, lamas, or sacred objects.<\/p>\n

Do not step over sacred texts, practice objects, or benches.<\/p>\n

Do not place texts directly on the floor.<\/p>\n

Sacred texts are loaned for use only during meditation practices and should not be taken home or copied without the Temple's permission.<\/p>\n
