SUMMARY:Padma Dakini empowerment and teaching with Phakchok Rinpoche
DESCRIPTION:[vc_row][vc_column width="2/3"][vc_column_text]The Odsal Ling sangha is delighted to welcome Kyabgön Phakchok Rinpoche in August. \nPhakchok Rinpoche will bestow the Padma Dakini empowerment from the Sevenfold Cycle of Profundity of the Chokling Tersar. Furthermore\, Rinpoche will offer brief heart advice for Vajrayana practitioners. \nPadma Dakini is a semi-wrathful wisdom dakini of the Lotus family\, embodying the enlightened activity of magnetizing. She is invoked to attract and harmonize beings\, circumstances\, and even the practitioner’s own mind with the Dharma. Through her practice\, all that is auspicious and supportive of the path—wisdom\, happiness\, health\, wealth\, and long life—is drawn forth\, gathering favorable conditions for the benefit of oneself and all beings. In this way\, practitioners are able to magnetize all siddhis: outwardly favorable circumstances\, inwardly realization\, and ultimately the recognition of the mind’s innate nature. \nThe Sevenfold Cycle of Profundity (Zabpa Kordün) was revealed by the great tertön Chokgyur Dechen Zhikpo Lingpa in the Fire Dragon Year (1856)\, with the assistance of his spiritual consort Sangyum Dechen Chödrön\, an emanation of Khandro Yeshe Tsogyal\, at the sacred site of Akanishta Karma. Later praised by Jamyang Khyentse Wangpo as “wonderful\, profound\, and utterly complete in terms of tantras\, statements\, and instructions\,” these teachings form a central part of the Chokling Tersar lineage. He completed his studies at Dzongsar Institute in Bir\, India\, and received many transmissions from all the great Buddhist masters of our time. \nUnder the guidance of his root gurus—Tulku Urgyen Rinpoche\, Nyoshul Khen Rinpoche\, and Soktse Rinpoche—Rinpoche received and practiced the profound Dharma teachings transmitted in an unbroken lineage from Mahaguru Padmasambhava. \nInspired by the life and legacy of Guru Padmasambhava\, Terchen Chokgyur Lingpa\, and the protectors of Riwoche Monastery\, he dedicates his own life to spreading the teachings of Guru Rinpoche\, particularly the Profound Treasures of Chokgyur Lingpa (Chokling Tersar).
