About us Chagdud Gonpa Odsal Ling is a branch of Chagdud Gonpa Brazil, a non profit religious organization that preserves and disseminates the rich tradition of Vajrayana buddhism as was taught by Chagdud Tulku Rinpoche throughout his life. Chagdud Gonpa, both in North and South America, was established to help western students study and practice in a traditional way. Chagdud Gonpa Odsal Ling, and many other centers established by Chagdud Tulku, work steadily to make the teachings more accessible to more and more people. The idea of broadcasting Lama Tsering’s teachings is not new. It really began in 1991, when she was in her three year retreat, and Chagdud Tulku Rinpoche was unable to open Dzogchen retreat at Rigdzin Ling in northern California, due to delays in his travels caused by severe flooding. He thus asked Lama Tsering to open the retreat, and wires were set up between her house and the shrineroom, and Lama Tsering did her first teaching broadcast right from her retreat room. Later, Chagdud Rinpoche requested that she continue to make teachings available without leaving retreat, and a small amplifier was set up so that she could broadcast, on occasion, to students gathered in the garden in front of the retreat house. |

›There is no “registered sangha” in my area. How can I listen to the teachings? › What times will the Dharma Stream be available? › I missed the live teachings. Will they be broadcast again? › Can I invite other people to listen to the teachings with me? › Even though a wonderful Lama lives in my area, can I still become a Member from Afar? › If Lama Tsering is traveling, will there be a broadcast? › I enjoy listening so much, will the pujas be broadcast too |
